potential, and shouldered him additional responsibility of handling the HR function. Not averse to taking the responsibility, he took the challenge happily. His work has helped KOEL in restructuring various plants, mergers & acquisitions, amalgamations, sale-offs, financial restructuring & joint venture collaborations. He was virtually directly involved in matters of HR and legal.
He feels that that there has been a perceptible change in the attitude of people. We take pride in saying "People are the most valuable asset " ,in reality it is the most neglected factor. Earlier there was exploitation and Human relationship angle was never worked upon. Today, the perspectives of HR Managers are changing and they are making endeavours to break all barriers in an organization be it inter-personal or inter-departmental. 'Human' in Human
Resource Management he says has gained importance.
Apart from being a highly professional person, Dr. Chandratre has a creative flair for writing Books, articles, specialized columns in magazines, Journals and Newspapers. So far he has authored over 600 articles and 16 Books in Company Law, Secretarial Law and Finance.

He likes Pune for its peace, tranquility and serenity. He appreciates the various cultural and social activities like drama, theatre and music happenings in Pune, but despises the pollution and traffic. Considering himself a part and parcel of Pune, he feels involved mentally and physically with the city. An open-minded person, he loves to explore various fields of art, culture and music. It is his profession he says which does not allow him to be participative.
MESSAGE FOR UPCOMING HR PROFESSIONALS:-
Extract maximum from people by looking at them as Human Beings. Achieve goals by Human Relations and not Resource. Change your attitude and think positively to meet the goals thus contributing
to the success of the organization effectively.
