'Maneesha Nrityalaya' the institute of Kathak Dance (in Pune), established by herself in
1975, is on the verge of entering its silver jubilee year. The institute has trained and
offered a number of outstanding young dancers to the field of Kathak; who won many laurels
in important competitions too.

Has choreographed several dance-dramas and ballets such as - 'Leonardo Da Vinci', 'Artists
on Antarctica', 'Mi kali Mala Phulayache', 'Dhyas Minicha' and 'Neer-kshir Vivek' - to
name a few.

Has composed a variety of folk dance items fully retaining their intrinsic spirit and
vitality.

Has been working on the fusion project of Kathak and Japanese Music and has given several
performances of Kathak set to Japanese and contemporary music in Japan and India.
Has conducted workshops of Kathak in Japan, U.S.A.
Has staged Ballets in the life of Buddha, presented by her troupe in Japan.

Has given dance direction in two remarkable Marathi films and has thereby received the
Best Dance Director's Maharashtra State Award.
